Sweet Sister...

This morning we were driving to school and Matthew was a quieter than normal in the car. So Mallory decided to change the mood....

Mallory: What's your favorite song Matthew?

Matthew: Trash Trouble

Mallory: Mom...can we listen to Matthew's favorite song??

After I started the song he smiled and the rest of the drive was enjoyable for everyone. I just thought that was a sweet sister thing to do, so I wanted to share.

The last conversation from Matthew right before he fell asleep last night....

Matthew: When will I be able to drive a car?
Mommy: When you are 16
Matthew: That's a long time...(a few quiet moments go by)
Matthew: Won't it be fun when I'm 108?!!!
Mommy: Yes Matthew, it will be really fun when you are 108. :-) Goodnight.

1st Soccer Game

Mallory and Matthew had their 1st soccer games today! They don't keep track of scores at this age group but if they were Mallory's team would have loss 13-3 and Matthew's team would have won 6-1. They did a great job for just having one practice before this game! We can't wait to see how they progress through the season. :-)

Right now I'm sure he's dreaming of all the fun things that Sportacus does. :-)

Preschoolers!!

It's official! The summer is over and school has begun with two new students....I thought what better way to start back up with the blog than a giant milestone like school! I have to say that Mallory was a little more open to going than Matthew but 3 weeks into it things are going well for both of them. Since they have turned 4 a lot of things have changed for them.

1. New "Big Kid" Booster Seats in the car!
2. New Beds
3. New Rooms

It's crazy to think of how many changes they have already been through, but it seems like these all happened at once. Our next adventure will start on Thursday. Brian is now the official Soccer coach for TWO teams!!! So, I sure that we will have many pictures and posts about how that goes. It should be fun though and Matthew and Mallory have been practicing a lot with Brian lately so I'm sure that they will do well! ;-)

Ice/Snow Storm 2010

It's crazy how much snow we have seen this winter! We just got inside from playing outside and wanted to show everyone some pictures. We hope everyone is staying warm!

Christmas 2009

Finally I have time to share all of our Christmas pictures! It's been really busy here with the holidays and then work. Mallory and Matthew had a great Christmas this year! Every year we are amazed how different things are and how much fun they have. Looks like Santa brought them just want they wanted. :-) We enjoyed seeing everyone this year and we were glad that the "Blizzard of '09" didn't stop us, even though it may have changed some visiting times around. 2010 came in with mother/daughter ear infections! But we took our medicine and we are doing well now. We hope everyone had a great New Years and we look to seeing you soon!

Arts and Crafts Night!!! (Snowmen)

It was arts and crafts night tonight. We had such a fun time at the Deluxe OK show over the weekend that we decided to make snowmen.

Thanksgiving 2009

Thanksgiving was busy and fun like always this year. What's different though is that Matthew and Mallory are asking about what Thanksgiving and Christmas mean? Moments like this are great teaching moments for the kids but also for the adults. As you grow up I think that you forget the real meaning of the holidays. So, having your kids ask you about what the holidays mean is a great way to get back to the real meaning of the holiday spirit, instead of worrying and stressing about how everything looks and if we have the right gifts. It was just a great eye opening experience this year. We hope everyone is having a great start to the holiday season!

Aaron and Afton's Wedding

I finally had the chance to upload pictures from Aaron and Afton's Wedding Day! Matthew and Mallory looked so cute all dressed up as the flower girl and ring bearer. And I have to say that we were a bit surprised when Mallory was the one who actually walked down the aisle and Matthew was the one who was a bit nervous and decided to not go down the aisle by himself! The wedding was really beautiful and the weather was perfect! We hope that Aaron and Afton are having a wonderful time in Jamaica and we wish them a lifetime of happiness!
